At least two people suffered critical injuries in a house fire in Toronto, officials say.
In a tweet, Toronto police said officers received reports of a house fire in the Gladstone Avenue and Shanly Street area.
Officers said Toronto Fire Services responded to the scene and were working to extinguish the fire.
Toronto paramedics said a man in his 60s was pulled from the fire and suffered critical, life-threatening injuries and was being transported to a local hospital.
Paramedics said another patient was also pulled out of the building, and suffered critical injuries.
The service said a firefighter also suffered heat exhaustion, but was not transported to hospital.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
